Quarter after quarter, Tesla continues to assert itself as the world's leading electric car manufacturer. In the second quarter of 2021, it once again broke sales and production records.
Tesla reached 201 250 vehicles delivered between April and June
In a statement, the manufacturer led by Elon Musk revealed that it built 206 421 vehicles during this period. For the first time, it managed to deliver 201 250 vehicles to its buyers.
Among the Model S and Model X, Tesla produced 2340 vehicles, delivering 1890. In the case of the Model 3 and Model Y, it registered 204 081 produced and 199 360 delivered. These numbers end up exceeding Wall Street's expectations.
This was not an easy quarter for Tesla, as The Electrek notes. The brand registered constant delays in the delivery of the new Model S, and more than 10,000 vehicles will have been in containment in May, which delayed many deliveries.
Tesla had delivered 185 vehicles in the first quarter of the year
June thus played a pivotal role for the manufacturer to achieve these expressive numbers. This is after the first quarter of the year, in which it managed to deliver 185,000 vehicles.
“In the second quarter, we produced and delivered more than 200,000 vehicles. Our teams have done an excellent job”, says Tesla in a statement. It was another semester to add up, even with all the constraints.
