Lenovo today introduced the latest gadget in its product line equipped with Google Assistant. We have the Lenovo Smart Clock 2 which proves to be a more versatile product than its predecessors.
One of the great new features of Lenovo Smart Clock 2 is the inclusion of a 4″ inch touchscreen. In addition to the addition of this component, this product will be perfect for charging your smartphone at night.
Lenovo Smart Clock 2 will also serve as a wireless charging cradle
What sets the Lenovo Smart Clock 2 apart from its predecessors is the Qi pattern wireless charging cradle. This turns this apparent watch into a 2 in 1 product that is sure to captivate a lot of users.
This charging base is, however, sold separately. This means that you will have to spend a little more if you want to have a place to charge your smartphone near the bed. Unfortunately, we still don't know how much it will cost.
The base connects to the Lenovo Smart Clock 2 on its base with its own connectors, thus acquiring its power supply. This can reach your smartphone at a maximum frequency of 100W.
Going back to the Lenovo Smart Clock 2, 85% of the plastic that makes it up is recyclable and covered in a material that gives it an organic look. A conscious choice that will allow this gadget to adapt to the decor of each home.
Inclusion of a screen enhances versatility
One of the great new features of Lenovo Smart Clock 2 compared to its predecessors is the inclusion of a touch screen. This opens the door to greater versatility in this gadget, although the brand has not specified whether it will be possible to view images from surveillance cameras, for example.
With the inclusion of the Google Assistant, the door opens to a universe of possibilities. Google's personal assistant is thus at a distance of a voice command, through which you'll be able to set alarms, reminders and even play music thanks to its front speakers.
Lenovo said Smart Clock 2 will hit the markets from September, available in Abyss Blue, Heather Gray and Shadow Black. Its price is set at $89.99 (€75) and it is not yet known whether it will be officially marketed in Europe.
