    iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini: brightness up to 1200 nits, lower notch, Apple A15 Bionic, new sensors for the main camera and larger batteries: Gadget.ro – Hi-Tech Lifestyle

    Together with iPad 10.2 (2021) and iPad Mini 6 (2021) iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini were also presented, in addition to iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, which we will discuss in a separate article.

    iPhone 13 Mini and iPhone 13 keep the dimensions of the previous generation – 5.4 and 6.1 inches. I don't switch to the refresh rate at 120Hz like the Pros and stay at 60Hz. The aluminum used in iPhone cases is 100% recycled.

    What's new in the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini?

    ➡️ OLED screens with 28% higher brightness – 800 nits and up to 1200 nits at peak, supports Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG standards;

    ➡️ notch 20% lower than the previous generation;

    ➡️ Apple A15 Bionic developed on 5nm with 2 high-performance cores and 4 other energy-efficient cores (they said they are new cores), 4-core GPU that is 30% faster, Pros have 5-core GPU, Neural Engine with 16-core;

    ➡️ the main camera has two new sensors: 12 Megapixels with f / 1.6 and pixel size of 1.7 microns – equivalent 26mm + ultrawide camera of 12 Megapixels with f / 2.4 and equivalent 13mm – without autofocus, implemented only on Pro models;

    ➡️ larger batteries that would offer 2.5 hours more battery life on the iPhone 13 and 1.5 hours on the iPhone 13 Mini. iPhone 13 weighs 174 gr. and iPhone 13 Mini stops the scale needle at 141 gr. They are also 0.25 mm thicker than the previous generation (to receive higher capacity batteries);

    ➡️ to save energy, make the automatic switch from 5G to 4G, when no high transfer speeds are needed;

    Pre-orders open on September 17, and the commercial debut starts on September 24. Prices in the US start at $ 699 for the iPhone 13 Mini and $ 799 for the iPhone 13.

    It seems to me that a growing difference between the vanilla variants and the Pros is slowly being built.
