Less than a week before the official presentation of the Honor 50, information from the devices continues to reach the Internet, showing that these may be some of the best smartphones of 2021. The highlight goes to cameras, but there is more to discover.
We will have at least three new models. Namely, the Honor 50, Honor 50 Pro, as well as the Honor 50 Pro+. Now we get to know the performance of the intermediate model thanks to the sharing of tests carried out in the application of benchmark AnTuTu.
The Honor 50 is the next smartphone from the former Huawei sub-brand
According to information revealed to date, the Honor 50 Pro has the model number RNA-AN00 and is equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 778G processor. This is one of the most powerful mid-range processors, proving it at AnTuTu.
This model was recently tested and pointed out the presence of 8 GB of RAM memory, in addition to 256 GB of internal storage. The operating system used was Google's Android 11, without reference to the interface used, possibly the EMUI inherited from Huawei.
It is also important to note that Qualcomm's Snapdragon 778G has a maximum processing frequency of 2.4 Ghz in its largest core, having a total of 8 processing cores. It is accompanied here by the Adreno 642L graphic.
The results at AnTuTu show the power of this Android smartphone
Above we see the AnTuTu listing where several of the technical specifications of this Android smartphone are confirmed. See, for example, the mention of 120 Hz in the last field of the UX (interface), the update rate that will characterize the phone screen.
The highlight, however, should focus on the cameras, especially on the main one. This, according to some information leaks, may come equipped with a revolutionary image sensor with up to 1 inch, something unprecedented.
Both smartphones will be fast charging 66W and 100W for the Honor 50 and Honor 50 Pro and Pro+, respectively.
The camera can be your biggest selling point
The information leaks point a 108 MP main sensor to the Honor 50 Pro, present in the first (top) circle. The lens can have a maximum aperture of f/1.8, being the most prominent.
The lower circle can contain the two auxiliary cameras equipped with ultra-wide-angle and background blur lenses, however without a telephoto lens for optical zoom.
In turn, the Honor 50 can opt for a 50 MP main sensor for the upper circle and the same auxiliary chambers for the lower circle. Both phones can be aimed mainly at vloggers and have unique assets for video.
Finally, the Honor 50 Pro+ can feature the revolutionary one-inch sensor. It's a feature that has been pointed out to Huawei smartphones and, given the dimensions of the upper circle, it would help justify its size.
The Snapdragon 888 will be reserved for the Pro + model
It will also be on the Pro+ model where we can see Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 processor, currently the best SoC available for Android smartphones.
These will be the first smartphones launched by Honor after the effective separation from Huawei. They represent, for the now independent brand, the beginning of a new era, free from the sanctions applied to its former parent company.
