Google TV is really fantastic. has a interface well accomplished and that gives us quick access to everything we are looking for. However, there is still room for improvement and apparently we will have a big news soon. Is that Google TV will provide premium channels for free but we will have to give something in return.
Google TV will give you premium channels for free but there is a requirement!
Google TV supports several premium services such as Disney+, Netflix, HBO, Vodafone TV, among many others. However, now it will give us even more and we can start to have access to premium channels but in exchange for seeing advertising.
The Protocol website reports and cites many industry sources that Google TV will have these channels very soon. However, they have the characteristic of working through advertising. After all, when the alms is a lot the poor suspect and as such we would always have to give something in return.
Regarding release dates, some sources point to news until December.
However, it is very likely that it will only arrive in 2020. However, these channels should also reach ChromeCast
It is not yet known which channels will be included or how everything will work. However, a new Live tab should appear in the main platform window. Systems with external antennas can even be used for this purpose. This is undoubtedly curious. Everything indicates that this service will be mainly maintained by advertising and I believe that many people do not mind having advertising in order to be able to access premium services free of charge.
This seems to be the way for many companies and even for many channels. In fact, even in the case of Netflix, there has already been talk about the possibility of having a cheaper plan but with advertising. However, it is something that is still in the drawer.
I’m honestly very curious to see how everything will work. One thing is for sure, and when it comes to Google TV, the Android TV platform is truly exceptional. By the way, anyone who is a Vodafone customer and experimenting with the Vodafone TV application will be in for a pleasant surprise. It’s just that the app was redesigned and we give you an experience just like the box. I would also like to take this opportunity to leave a message for NOS, as it is one of the few operators at European level that has not bothered to develop an application for this platform, existing only for mobile devices. In Portugal, similarly to the Vodafone, a MEO already have and the NEWLY also.
