E3 2021: Gearbox announcements you shouldn't miss

During their E3 conference, Gearbox Software shared the latest news on Tribes of Midgard and Godfall, among others.

Second conference on the program of this first day ofE3 2021, the presentation of Gearbox started off in a tone far from what one could imagine. Randy Pitchford did take us to the filming location Borderlands, which we got to see behind the scenes. So little information was shared, we almost got to see Ariana Greenblatt in her Tiny Tina costume and Kevin Hart in Roland's costume.

With this in mind, Gearbox has once again shared the game's announcement video. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, announced during the opening ceremony of the Summer Game Fest. This is a spin-off of the saga Borderlands which will stage Tiny Tina in a fantasy world. During this E3, we were able to discover some enemies of the game, including wyverns and goblins. The developers wanted to remind that it will be a standalone game, and therefore playable without having first tried the titles. Borderlands.

Next, Gearbox unveiled a new gameplay video from Tribes of Midgard. The title inspired by Norse mythology will be released on PS4, PS5 and PC on July 27.

Then it was the turn of Godfall to give his news. A few months after its release on PC, the title will finally land on PS4 on August 10. For the occasion, a new trailer has been shared. This port will bring with it many new features, such as an expansion, new cosmetic items, new enemies, as well as a free next-gen update.

Finally, the studio announced the production of the title Homeworld 3. This was announced several years ago, in 2019 during the PAX East. If the studio was keen to talk about it, we don't have an official release date yet. If Gearbox sticks to the initial plans, then it should be released by the end of 2022. Fingers crossed!
